I was born in New Jersey, the Garden State, and raised in Puerto Rico, the beautiful Enchanted Island. I have been married for 32 years and have two beautiful young daughters.
I moved to Houston, Texas 20 years ago. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Inter American University of Puerto Rico, and with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. In addition, I have 30 years of experience as a teacher in schools both in the United States and Puerto Rico in all levels from Kindergarten to 12 grade in a variety of subjects. I taught ESL to all levels in San Juan, Puerto Rico for six years, including four years in Catholic Private School, “Colegio de la Inmaculada”. Also, I was a Second Grade Bilingual teacher for two years at HISD Gallegos Elementary School. Furthermore, I worked for YES College Preparatory School in Houston, TX as a Middle and High School Spanish teacher for eight years and at the same time I was the Foreign Language Department Director and Twelfth Grade Level Chair. Ten years ago, I decided to return to the Catholic Education System to teach at the elementary level at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Galena Park. This is my 5th year at St. Augustine Catholic School and I am happy to be here and look forward to a great year!
