I was born in a small Puerto Rican town named, Corozal. When I was twelve, my family moved to Rio Piedras, which is part of the great city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have been married for 32 years and have two beautiful daughters.
I graduated from the Technological Institute of San Juan, and moved to Massachusetts. I attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Physical Education and a Master of Education in Bilingual Educational and School Administration. In addition, I have 25 years of experience as a teacher in schools both in the United States and Puerto Rico in all levels from Pre-K to 12th grade and college level. Also, I was a 2Lt. officer army for the Army National Guard of Puerto Rico for 6 years.
Twenty years ago, I moved to Houston Texas, and worked for Houston ISD, Raul Yzaguirre, and YES Public School as a PE teacher and Athletic Director. Three years ago, I retired from the Public Education System and decided to teach for the Catholic Schools.
This is my 3rd year at St. Augustine Catholic School and my 2nd year at Mt. Carmel Catholic School.
As a teacher, my goal is to help students achieve their dreams while serving as a role model for them.
